After this historical process in which we believe that we, as the world, have gone through a difficult test, the most important thing is; Of course, everything else will not be the same, except for feelings and thoughts.
Emotions and thoughts will change, because in my opinion, a significant part of humanity has either lived or witnessed some realities in this process. The economy will not remain the same, because all the pieces of the economy have been moved.
Of course, I hope that the changes will primarily bring more peace and tranquility to our country and our world, and end wars, violence and fighting.
On the economic side, the impossibilities and vicious circle created by the previous governments, especially in our country after 1974, were realized. However, as long as current and future governments, politicians and administrators ignore this, the hope of the truly patriotic part of our society that is sensitive on this issue will be lost.
It has become clear that we are actually a society with insufficient resources than we thought, and that those who govern us have not produced enough ideas and implemented them so far.
I think they mostly gave away the money they had. Finally, it was understood that the value of the private sector is not known and there is no hope for the future. As the Turkish Cypriot Community, we deserve to be better managed!
However, we would expect that it would be realized that the private sector is the main backbone, and that it is the same in countries with the right economy, and that it would be given the necessary importance and value. We have paid a lot of prices. If we knew even a little that the right economic steps would be taken and we believed that we would be governed correctly, I am sure that everyone who is patriotic would be ready to pay more.
To be more specific, our sector is a supplier of furniture type in construction-related items. Accordingly, we foresee a contraction in the sector in the near term, and accordingly, problems such as increased unemployment, poverty, and a relatively difficult situation for debtors and investors will develop.
However, after the cure/vaccine is found before the disease progresses seriously, which is the scenario we all expect, there will be an increase in permanent and temporary tourism, an increase in all types of tourism, diversification and interest in our country. These opportunities will be shaped by the leadership and encouragement of the government. In other words, deriving positive results from negativity will be an important step and opportunity for the next period. That is why healthy and correct management is very important in all situations and conditions.
As a country, as a society and as an individual, which is the smallest part of it, to learn from what happened and not to make the same mistakes over and over again, and to take steps to see and evaluate the opportunities in front of us,
Developing and keeping good relationships is extremely important.
It is obvious that the Turkish Cypriot community has a combative nature. As we look ahead, we should plan in a broader framework and take steps without delay or postponement.
I love my country, we love it; I will and will continue to work, produce and share ideas.
