For the past 14 years, Propertync Magazine has been continuously developing itself so that the construction sector in the TRNC will also go forward. By putting aside part of its advertisement income, the magazine has created a large olive tree farm that also represents the importance it gives to nature and protecting it. Olives and olive production has been carried out on our island for many years and is considered a gift offered to us by nature therefore Propertync Magazine is proud to announce that other companies like themselves have been gifted and are working to increase production.
There are 1000 Gemlik olive
trees certified by the Turkish
Ministry of Agriculture on the
farm. Each tree was planted 4
metres apart and spread out
on 17 donum of land.
It is a well-known fact that the number of construction companies that believe in sustainability is increasing. These companies do not harm trees while building and will even up-root and then replant the trees when required. Propertync Magazine does its upmost to announce many projects which include a lot of green areas and has praised the companies planting young trees. Now, it is proud to present its olive farm!
The first tree was planted on 21 March 2009 in the farm located in Famagusta-Ötüken and they have been growing for 10 years. This means they are ready to harvest.
Olive oil was produced from the Propertync Olive Farm for the first time last year. Roughly, 4,2 kg of olives were used to produce 1 litre of olive oil whereas with other types of olives, 8-10 kg are required to produce 1 litre of olive oil. The climate of our island is suitable for high amounts of harvest.
You can read more about the Olive Farms, Olive Fastival and Histiory as Olives are an integral part of Cypriot culture.
