The 6th Gala Night of the Propertync Awards will be held on March 30th, 2019 at Girne Cratos Premium Hotel!

The Propertync Awards Contest, which is organized every two years and creates the competitive environment in the market by identifying the best of the TRNC real estate sector, will enable the winners to add prestige to their brands and attract attention in the within the international sector. Participants that are placed first and second, will be awarded Platinum and Gold awards upon observation and scoring from members of the jury.

Apart from our country, the members of the jury consist of architects, engineers, interior architects, web designers and respectable people from the business world - who are experts in their respective fields and are from countries such as United Kingdom, Spain, Colombia, Turkey, Russia, United Arab Emirates and United States of America.

43 respectable jury members including Colombian Oscar A. Mendez Gerardino - the CEO of Conceptos Plasticos who gained recognition for his social responsibility acts such as building households for the homeless from bricks produced from recycled plastic, Spanish architect and urban planner G. Perera, Uygar Yüksel - director of Emre Arolat Architects office, British architect Michele Pasca Di Magliano - the business partner to world famous architect Zaha Hadid, Svetlana Chernysheva – the CEO of Design Portrait interior architecture office, Tahincioğlu Real Estate Marketing and Corporate Communications director İlyas Katırcı, master architect and former TRNC Brussels Representative Ayer Kaşif and former TRNC Prime Minister Hakkı Atun, will glean information about the contenders, observe their projects and evaluate on presentations presentations and visits from contenders during the course of approximately two weeks.

Propertync Awards, with 38 categories, will allow contractors, constructors and real estate agents to show their work in project management, construction, decorating and marketing and compete to prove that they are ‘the best’ in categories such as ‘Best Developer’, ‘Best High-Rise Architectural Design’, ‘Best Renovation’, ‘Best Residential Development’, ‘Best Commercial Project’, ‘Best Renewable Energy Project’, ‘Best Estate Agency’, ‘Best Dormitory’. The Propertync Awards Contest includes every field of the sector, therefore, it is an excellent opportunity for the firms who want to stand out from other firms and prove their quality.

Propertync Awards is being supported by Cityscape, the world’s largest exhibition and conference on property development, therefore its logo is an indicator of a level of international prestige. The awards identify the firms on the island that are world standard within the sector. As the Propertync team, we have included the hotels in this year’s competition which we have organized with great excitement and enthusiasm. We believe that our competition, which has the mission of rising the standards in the real estate sector in North Cyprus, will greet with the same enthusiasm in the hotel sector and we know that our efforts will have good effects on our country. The winners of the Propertync Hotel Awards 2019, which consists of 12 categories, will find their owners at Cratos on March 30, along with the Propertync Awards 2019.

As Propertync team, we start looking for the members of the judging panel a year before the Propertync Awards competition is announced. Propertync Awards sets the standards of the TRNC real estate sector and follows the world standards very closely. For this reason, we are very careful in the jury selection process as the Propertync team, as this is a big responsibility.

First, we decide on the categories that add meaning to the sector. We especially shape the criteria in these categories thinking of the protection of the environment so that the construction of buildings in the TRNC grows without destroying the beauty of the TRNC. While determining the criteria, we take the opinions of our valuable jury members who have been in our judging panel for years and we pay most attention to have the nature protection, worker safety and aesthetics, materials, innovation and many other elements in the criteria . This is a big responsibility.

Since Propertync Magazine has published its first issue, we choose the articles which educate our readers as well as entertaining them. We want to make sure the criteria in Awards are prepared with this awareness, so that the Awards are truly deserved by its owners. That’s why the evaluation is done by a judging panel who are totally objective.

After determining our categories, we start looking for the right jury members for the related categories. For the categories related to business, we carefully select professionals who have worked in the field of business for many years and, we look for architects, interior designers, civil engineers, electrical engineers and environmental engineers for the architectural and engineering related categories. For landscaping categories we select landscape architects and for interior design related categories we work with interior designers. We make sure the judging panel members do not have present business ties with the applicants as well as not having family relationships with them.

Our judging panel members assess each applicants folders based on our criteria only. As well as professionals working in the sector in TRNC, we also have highly reputable judges from Turkey who are architects, engineers, and businessmen. These professionals are all enthusiastic, hardworking, passionate about the work they do. We also offered architects, engineers and businessmen in America, the UK, Russia, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates to be a part of Propertync Awards judging panel and they all kindly accepted our offer. As a result, a giant panel of 40 professionals were chosen. The panel of 40 judges, engineers, interior designers, businessmen and former TRNC Prime Minister and representatives were also included in this panel.

We are always proud of our judging panel. I am very proud to work as a co-ordinator with such a professional team. I hope that we can make a contribution to the TRNC real estate sector through these efforts.
