Kıbrıs Developments has created a digital platform called VENUS by using the latest available technological advancements. This platform will provide easier access to projects for potential clients, especially those living abroad.

Kıbrıs Developments launched its new residential Project TERRA, located in Alsancak, and its new digital platform VENUS on 6th November 2021. The event was organised at the Project site, where guests were able to experience the TERRA Project details first hand, where it was taking place both physically and also online, with live participation over the www.venuskibris.com website.

Guests entered the venue with Kıbrıs Developments Director, Çağatay Özbirim’s welcoming greeting video message.

The first installation prepared for the evening was named, “I’m from the land”, and consisted of mirrors, an adobe room, selections, natural stones, and water and soil installations. These represented TERRA’s starting point and also reminded people of their natural and historical background. Moreover, it made us question where we are today because of what the land has given us.

A 3D animation of the TERRA project land, the adobe houses set in 2 semi-circles opposite each other, project architect, interior designer and the landscape concept was shown on the LED screens, with music playing in the background which had been composed especially for the project.

Kıbrıs Developments, which has completed award-winning, prestigious projects in the property sector, has now raised the bar with its TERRA project. The project consists of 77 residences, of which 3 are 4 bedroomed detached villas with private pools and then 1+1, 2+1 and 3+1 residences. Ground floor residences have a private garden while the residences on the first floor have private roof terraces. Furthermore, it will be a high-quality site with social activity areas such as a gym, Jacuzzi, children’s pool and outdoor adult swimming pools.

As in all large housing projects implemented by Kıbrıs Developments, a housing loan is provided by İş Bank for Project TERRA.

Kıbrıs Developments Project Design and Marketing Director, Harper Özbirim, described how the TERRA Project came about. Due to the pandemic the Project was planned with great care and the developing needs of living spaces were also taken into account. He said, “When we first came to the construction site on the morning we had decided to start the new Project, I visualised houses rising from the land with organic forms and self-created living spaces. TERRA was created at a time when there were great uncertainties, great despair and the lives of many had been turned upside down. Therefore, it was both challenging and motivating for us to produce a Project at such an extraordinary time. Since the beginning of the Project, the design team, our family, Kıbrıs Developments, the Blue Way team, my own family and my craftsman friends, actually everybody around us who was involved in the Project from one area to another, they have all added a positive motivation and positive feelings.

Realizing that the first settlement on the island of Cyprus in pre-historic times, around 4000 BC, was very close to here, was actually a turning point for me in this project. The connection with the land, the importance people give to soil and the place of land in our lives came about at this very point. Therefore, when you look at the project’s architecture you will see that there are surfaces with texture as well as organic corners created with single layer materials, forms and natural materials used forming the basis of the architectural language of the project. TERRA became a multi-dimensional project, also including art, otherwise the project would have consisted only of cold, concrete buildings. We believe that we have created a project that has a soul and emotion, with art incorporated. There is a story and feeling behind each Kıbrıs Development project, based on the feelings we put into each one. TERRA is in fact a project born from the essence of all of us. We are very happy to start this special project, which represents our commitment to our historical and cultural values and our environmental awareness”.

While describing the project concept and TERRA’s architecture, Hafise Kasap said, “The simplicity and plainness in the architectural design creates a sense of perfection in people. The natural details of the architectural texture and materials used gives you the opportunity to touch rock and soil. This helps you reconnect to your roots. Terra is a project opening doors to the new world”.

Ebru Olgun Çağıner, who has been working as an interior designer for a long time on Kıbrıs Developments’ Projects, emphasised that the natural beauty of the location of TERRA is so powerful that there was no need for any exaggerated interior design. She said, “For this reason, we created living spaces with minimal lines, blended with basic colours and materials. The way we look at living spaces has also changed due to the pandemic. Tiring details, synthetic materials and unnecessary items have disappeared from our lives. These have been replaced by more comfortable living spaces with plenty of light, a stronger bond with the outside landscape and fewer, but more functional, devices. This is how we shaped our new Project. We preferred a more universal style so as to appeal to clients from different countries. We believe TERRA is a Project created with natural tones and materials, consisting of living spaces without tiring details and full of light. We can also think of the interior as plain canvases to which home owners will add their personal touch. I personally believe that the TERRA Project will gain a lot of interest due to its location, natural landscape and architectural design. Maybe it is a Project after the pandemic, but I think TERRA has a pure, naive and more self- absorbed energy. Therefore, I wholeheartedly believe that it will create good feelings for many people”

VENUS is a digital experience platform created by using the latest technological opportunities and will be Kıbrıs Development’s face in the digital world.
