Döveç Group Organised A Blood Donation Campaign
Döveç Group wholeheartedly cares for socially responsible projects and with this in mind organises blood donation campaigns every 6 months with the North Cyprus Turkish Red Crescent (Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Kızılayı). The most recent session took place on 5th December, 2020 between 09:00 and 13:00 at the Döveç Main Office. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, blood donations in general have decreased, but on this occasion, all Döveç Group employees showed great compassion and participated in the blood donation campaign. All eligible employees donated blood who, together with the locals from Famagusta, showed a great deal of interest in the campaign.
Döveç Group Board Chairman, Burçin Döveç, said that during this time where the whole world is struggling with Covid-19, the importance of helping others should be emphasised and by donating blood you can save a life or add happiness to the lives of many others. Döveç added that he was proud to work with such socially aware and helpful people. He thanked his team at Döveç Group, together with the locals from Famagusta, for showing interest in this socially responsible project. He also emphasised that as a society we should be more aware of the importance of donating blood. Burçin Döveç ended his speech by mentioning the importance of the day - 5th of December, World Womens’ Day - the day Turkish woman were given the right to vote and to be elected by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Famagusta Red Crescent authorities thanked Burçin Döveç and the members of the Döveç Group family.
