As the Propertync Magazine, we are sponsoring Neriman Atai Şemiler together with Telsim Vodafone Group of companies. Şemiler talks about her struggle with Breast Cancer in her story and all donations will go towards Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital’s Oncology Service. The book was promoted last month at a cocktail organised by Rüstem Kitabevi.
As well as Şemiler’s family and friends, The president’s wife Meral Akıncı, Special Political Advisor on Political Affairs and History &Technical Committees Coordinator Meltem Onurkan Samani, CTP chairman and former prime minister Tufan Erhürman and his wife Nilden Bektaş Erhürman together with Telsim Vodafone Group of Companies assistant general manager Fevzi Tanpınar and Propertync Magazine Director Mehmet Kozansoy were also present at the promotion. Speeches were made at the event.
Şemiler’s doctor from Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital’s Oncology Service and Cyprus Turkish Medical Association president Özlem Gürkut stated that legal procedures to turn sales of the book into donations have begun. Gürkut emphasised that they want to donate a mammography device to the hospital to be used for early diagnoses and scanning of breast cancer. She then added that reading the book gave her the perspective of a breast cancer patient’s point of view rather than that of a doctor.

Özlem Gürkut, said “You can be worrying daily and arguing about wanting a faster car or the latest mobile phone one minute and then be diagnosed with cancer the next. The next part of our lives shows us what is really important, who we really want to be and makes us stronger. Neriman Atai Şemiler completed this part much stronger than she was.”
Telsim Vodafone Group of Companies assistant general manager Fevzi Tanpınar has sponsored the publication and communication campaign of the book. He emphasised that he has been to many book promotions but has never seen such a warm and loving environment at any of them. He added that he is happy to have collaborated sponsorship with the Propertync Magazine and thanked Şemiler for giving them this opportunity.
The author of the book, Neriman Atai Şemiler said, “My journey started with a small tumour, which then turned into a bundle of love, I love you all. You were all with me during my treatment. Thank you.” She added that Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital’s Oncology Service offers a good medical programme and the people there are hardworking and always smiling and as she was wondering how she could help this service, her doctor Özlem Gürkut advised her on turning her dairy into a book. Many of her friends have read the book and have given positive feedback. She ended her speech by thanking her sponsors and everyone involved in its publication.
