Today, tourism has the ability to shape and transform human societies worldwide as a social, cultural and economic power. From this point of view, the regions between Famagusta and İskele are places with a high potential.
It can encourage tourism activities and investors by creating bases in Iskele that are suitable for environmental conditions and texture; consequently, we can improve the city economically, socially and culturally. In addition, we can make a comprehensive tourism movement by introducing those who come for our beaches and clean sea, to the ecotourism and natural beauties in this region.
I think that the sustainable, ecotourism movement to be established in this area will not only attract a large number of tourists but also improve the living conditions of the people in this region. For both domestic and foreign tourism, we can create water sports complexes with recreational areas - taking advantage of our being an island country - and revitalize the beaches in the region, enabling people to enjoy this pure beauty to its full potential.
Increasing tourism creates jobs and also provides a suitable environment for healthy recreation. These studies will ensure the economic prosperity, social vitality and cultural traditions of the region and the continuity of its prosperity.
While making all these plans, priority areas should be determined and proceeded by protecting nature. It is an issue that should be focused on, to prepare development plans that can create mega cities and to give priority to infrastructure in this formation. I believe that a more beautiful and spacious City of İskele can be created by developing the electricity, water, road and sewage infrastructure, which are the forward planning of social needs, together with schools, government offices, coastal strips and the lower and upper passages that connect all these with the contributions of the state.
