The real estate sector in Northern Cyprus has shown significant growth in recent years. There is an increasing interest from foreign investors, and new projects are being realized. The tourism potential, in particular, is quite high. The island's natural beauty, historical and cultural richness, Mediterranean climate, and peaceful environment make it an attractive destination for tourists.

As DND Cyprus, we aim to make the most of the sector's potential by offering high-quality and unique projects that attract both local and foreign investors. How do you think your extensive experience in the international business world has reflected in DND Cyprus? What have you brought from your experiences to Cyprus?

My over 30 years of experience in the international business world, including serving as CEO and CFO for major American food and beverage giants, guide me at every stage of DND Cyprus. I leverage my knowledge and expertise in areas such as strategic planning, financial management, marketing, and human resources to drive the success of our company. Additionally, my experience in working with different cultures and delivering services at international standards has been invaluable in shaping the way we operate at DND Cyprus.

The most important things I've brought to Cyprus are a professional business approach and a customer-centric mindset. In addition, I strive to transfer my global experiences in the areas of innovation and sustainability to Cyprus.

Do you still have an active company in the United States? If so, what activities are you involved in there?

Yes, I have a real estate development company in the United States. In fact, the foundations of DND Cyprus were laid in America. DND Homes, founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 2017, continues to develop luxury residential projects in the U.S.

Currently, we are working on both luxury residential and commercial projects in the Boston area. You can find examples of our completed and ongoing projects on our website and social media accounts to learn more about our ventures in the US. In summary, DND Homes continues to actively develop luxury residential and commercial projects in America. As someone born and raised in Cyprus, and a third-generation local of Famagusta, my deep ties to the island inspired me to invest back in my homeland. This connection led to the establishment of DND Cyprus, which operates independently from our U.S.-based company, focusing on luxury real estate projects that contribute to the growth and development of Northern Cyprus.

How do you see the development potential of the İskele region? How will the projects you have undertaken contribute to this? What are your predictions for the future of the region?

We can call the İskele region the rising star of Northern Cyprus. With its stunning beaches, natural beauty, and developing infrastructure, it is attracting the attention of investors and tourists. Our projects aim to further enhance this potential. By introducing luxury residences, social amenities, and attractions such as Mariachi Beach Club, we are bringing a new vibe to the region.

We can summarize our forecasts as follows: İskele will experience significant growth in the tourism and real estate sectors in the coming years. High-quality residential projects and social amenities will attract more local and foreign investors to the area. İskele will become one of the most sought-after living and holiday destinations in Northern Cyprus.

Can you tell us a little about DND Cyprus' future projects? What are your new investments and goals?

At DND Cyprus, we have a strong belief in the future of Northern Cyprus, and we will continue to nurture this belief with new projects. In addition to the three active projects we are currently working on, we also have two exciting new projects that we are planning to launch soon.

Another point I would like to emphasize is that with our vast land portfolio, we look to the future with confidence. Our goal is not only to contribute to the Northern Cyprus economy with residential projects but also to make investments in the tourism sector. While creating new living spaces that set trends and cater to different needs and budgets, we will never compromise on sustainability and eco-friendly practices. How do you approach environmental sustainability and energy efficiency in your projects? What eco-friendly technologies and practices do you use?

At DND Cyprus, we embrace a nature-respecting and sustainable lifestyle. Environmental sustainability and energy efficiency are key priorities at every stage of our projects. In this regard, we use eco-friendly solutions in both construction materials and building technologies.

For example, we ensure energy efficiency by using special bricks and building materials that maximize thermal insulation. To make efficient use of water resources, we implement wastewater recycling systems. This allows us to use the recycled water for garden landscaping, reducing water consumption. In landscape design, we choose local and drought-resistant plant species to minimize the need for irrigation.

In addition, we use water-saving fixtures and non-chemical paints in our projects. By incorporating double-glazed windows and American panel doors, we enhance thermal control and contribute to energy efficiency. For garden lighting, we aim to utilize renewable energy sources by implementing solar solutions. Furthermore, to support recycling efforts, we include waste separation units in all of our projects to encourage proper sorting of trash.
